Comic Series 2: Whiteout

Issue 2: Ice station Alpaca “Justiciar directs the players to investigate the research station and root out the alien threat, they happen on . It is only after the Champions enter the research station to talk to the inhabitants look for clues that they realize not all is what it seems... No one is to be trusted...”

Powers

Celestial

  • Vengeance: Damage variance reduced from 20% to 7.5%.
  • Vengeance: Max charge time decreased from 2s down to 1.67s. However, maximum damage increased slightly, and max cost decreased ~1.5 Energy.
  • Vengeance: Radius changed to 8-15 feet, up from 6-10 feet.
  • Celestial Conduit: Removed the Emit Point drop down menu from this power because it does not support emit points.
Infernal

  • Poison: Now named Deadly Poison, and has been considerably reworked. Damage per tick reduced by 25%. Damage now has 50% shield penetration. Damage per tick now scales up with each stack of Poison instead of adding more ticks. Now stacks up to 10 times.
  • Infernal Blast: (New!) This Tier 0 power deals single target Toxic damage. Has a chance to apply Deadly Poison, and refreshes all Poisons on your target.
  • Infernal Blast: Virulent Propagation: (New!) If Infernal Blast is fully charged and hits a Poisoned target, a nearby target will take damage and receive a stack of that Poison as well.
  • Epidemic: (New!) This Tier 2 power deals maintained Toxic damage in a 25ft radius PBAoE, with a chance to apply Deadly Poison to affected targets. When fully maintained, doubles the amount of Deadly Poison stacks on affected targets.
  • Epidemic: Outbreak: (New!) Increases the chance to Poison by 10% and lowers the maximum maintain time of Epidemic by 1 second.
  • Locust Swarm: (New!) This Tier 2 power is a port of the Become Critter: Mummy power, and is a Paralyze and Toxic DoT.
  • Locust Swarm: Festering Bites: (New!) This advantage grants your Locust Swarm a chance to apply Deadly Poison every time it deals damage.
  • Aspect of the Infernal: Now grants stacks of Infernal Strength when applying Poisons instead of when attempting Knocks.
  • Aspect of the Infernal: The icon for the Infernal Strength buff has been changed to help differentiate it from the Aspect of the Infernal icon.
  • Aspect of the Ethereal: (New!) Functions like Aspect of the Infernal used to (grants stacks of Ethereal Strength when you attempt knocks).
  • Condemn: Max charge time decreased from 2s down to 1.67s. However, maximum damage increased slightly.
  • Condemn: Radius changed to 8-15 feet, up from 6-10 feet.
  • Condemn: Now applies Deadly Poison to targets that are not currently affected by it, and has a 10% chance to apply to any target that is currently affected by Deadly Poison.
  • Condemn: Cost increased ~2 Energy at tap, and ~3 Energy at full charge.
  • Condemn: Damage variance reduced from 20% to 7.5%.
  • Condemn: Now has access to the Nailed to the Ground Advantage.
  • Crippling Coils: Now has access to the Nailed to the Ground Advantage.
  • Defile: Animations have been changed.
  • Defile: Now has bigger FX, especially Rank 1.
  • Defile: Toxic debuff is now called Debilitating Poison, which counts as a Poison.
  • Defile: Damage variance increased from 0% to 5%.
  • Defile: Plague Bearer: Now has auto description.
  • Defile: Plague Bearer: Now applies Noxious Poison (same functionality as before but now counts as a Poison).
  • Devour Essence: Cost reduced ~2 Energy at activation, and ~1 Energy per period.
  • Devour Essence: Maximum maintain time increased to 4 seconds, up from 3.5 seconds.
  • Devour Essence: Damage variance increased from 0% to 5%, and Healing variance reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • Devour Essence: Phlebotomist: Now gains bonus healing when the target is affected by a Bleed or a Poison.
  • Devour Essence: Phlebotomist: Added auto description.
  • Infernal Bolts: Initial activation now has a chance to apply Deadly Poison instead of Infect.
  • Infernal Bolts: Now properly colored green.
  • Infernal Bolts: Toxin Overload: Now applies Deadly Poison instead of Infect.
  • Infernal Bolts: Toxin Overload: Fixed Icon.
  • Lash: Now plays a new, more appropriate animation.
  • Lash: Now has a chance to apply Deadly Poison. Cost increased ~1.5 Energy.
  • Lash: Now deals +2% damage for each stack of Poison on the target.
  • Lash: Damage variance reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • Pestilence: Now reduces your foes Toxic damage resistance by 1% for each stack of Poison on them.
  • Rebirth: Base Recharge Time reduced to 5 minutes, down from 10 minutes.
  • Rebirth: Buff/Debuff applied upon resurrection now lasts 20s, down from 30s. Damage dealt changed to 5% of your maximum health, instead of a flat number. Health gained when defeating an enemy increased substantially.
  • Vile Lariat: Now plays a new, more appropriate animation.
  • Vile Lariat: Now has a chance to apply Deadly Poison. Cost increased ~1 Energy.
  • Vile Lariat: Now deals +2% damage for each stack of Poison on the target.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Cost has been reduced. Activation cost reduced ~5 Energy, cost per period decreased ~3.5 Energy.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Now has a chance to apply Deadly Poison.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Knock now scales with rank.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Now deals +2% damage for each stack of Poison on the target.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Damage variance reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • Vicious Cyclone: Vortex Technique: Added auto description. Added Enrage interaction to description.
  • Condemn: Effects more color consistent; hue-shifts better.
  • Epidemic: Effects updated
Sorcery

  • Circle of Arcane Power: Will no longer provide you with multiple stacks of Energy Form. This should have no noticeable effect, except that it will no longer display additional buff stacks on you.
  • Circle of Arcane Power: The ticks provided by this power can no longer be Dodged.
  • Circle of Ebon Wrath: The ticks provided by this power can no longer be Dodged.
  • Circle of Radiant Glory: Now provides a buff icon while you are in it.
Supernatural

  • Supernatural Power: Energy grant should now be more responsive, and should always grant Energy when a power activation reduces your current Energy below the stated threshold.
  • Supernatural Power: Energy return now triggers at 15%, up from 10%.
  • Supernatural Power: The amount of Energy returned now scales with your Recovery.
  • Supernatural Power: Should no longer count as 2 powers for the purposes of unlocking some powers.
  • Venomous Breath: Damage increased ~10%. Tap Cost increased ~4 Energy, Cost per period increased ~2.5 Energy.
  • Venomous Breath: Rank 2 and 3 will properly track target.
  • Supernatural: Venomous Breath: Damage variance reduced from 20% to 7.5%.
  • Venomous Breath: Infectious Bile: Now adds a 20% chance to apply Poison (40% vs Bleeding targets).
  • Venomous Breath: Paralytic Bile: Gains old functionality of Infectious Bile (chance to stun targets)
Claws

  • Viper's Fangs: Spitting Cobra: Updated the description to match the updated Deadly Poison that this power now applies.
Telekinesis

  • Ego Reverberation: This power now correctly reads as "Ego Reverberation" in the combat log. This is just a combat log change.
Bestial

  • Aspect of the Bestial: The icon for the Bestial Strength buff has been changed to help differentiate it from the Aspect of the Bestial icon.
Unarmed

  • Leaping Uppercut: The Knock Up on this power was not being affected by resistance properly, and thus would successfully Knock Up more than intended when a target was not yet immune to Knocks. This has been corrected, and it should now be resisted normally.
  • Form of the Tiger: Rage of the Beast: The description of this power has been changed to reflect that it applies the Enraged buff. This is only a description change.
Travel

  • Superspeed: Impact: The ticks of this power can no longer be considered a crit, which had no direct effect on the ability itself, but could proc other things looking.
UI

  • Shared Bank Slots (Account Bank): Fixed the bug preventing the window to be re-sized.
  • Fonts bug fix: Fixed a bug that was causing all font color gradients to be displayed incorrectly. No color nor other font changes were made ONLY the way color gradients are drawn.
  • Improved the appearance of all windows title text.
  • Improved the appearance of the comic book 'flavor' text used in the contact window.
  • Improved the appearance of the comic book 'flavor' text used in the archetype selection screen.
  • Moved the semi-transparent background NPC portrait in the contact window so that it won't be overlapped by the flavor text panel.
  • Loot Window now remembers the position on the screen when moved.
  • Loot Window now is semi-transparent during combat.
C-Store

The Scourge Archetype

Role: The Avenger Your power comes from somewhere beyond this mortal realm, allowing you to infest your foes with toxic energy. You use these infernal powers as you see fit, leaving your foes gasping through an onslaught of poison.
Concepts: Toxic Mutant, Demonic Gift, Ancient Curse, Nightmare Creature, Remorseful Demon
Archetype Description Many of your powers poison your foes, and your strength increases as your poisons wither them away. Your pestilent clouds will weaken your foes as your press the attack, and you'll have some ability to hinder your opponents mobility.
You deal good damage from a distance, but are weak in melee combat and can take less damage than other roles can.
Infernal Grab Bag

The Cursed Grab Bag contains a Tradable Archetype Item that unlocks the Cursed Archetype and several costume unlocks with a fiery aura that you get a chance to have each time you open one What can you get in the Grab Bag? You will always get one piece of gear, ranging from green to Purple quality that is appropriate for your level and one consumable item You also get a chance at the Cursed AT Item and Cursed Aura Costume Pieces.



You will get one of the following consumable items below:
  • Boosts
  • Recovery 4 Pack
  • Healing 4 Pack
  • Energy 4 Pack
  • Damage Buff 4 Pack
  • Heroic Comeback 4 Pack
  • Ren Cen Teleport 4 Pack
In addition, each time you open the Cursed Grab Bag you will also have a chance to get The Cursed Archetype and the Cursed or Scourge costume pieces.
The Cursed Archetype powers burn with the fire of destruction and are a fiery red. The powers are a different color than the Scourge powers. The Cursed Archetype shares all the same powers and progression as The Scourge.
This Archetype Item is tradable and when used, unlocks the Archetype for all characters on your account.
